About Potter Upper
Potter Upper started as a solution to a problem I kept having at home: healthy leaves on top, unhappy roots underneath. Our clear pots let growers see what was happening below the soil line.
Then people kept asking, “Where did you get that plant?”
So we grew.
Today, we are a licensed nursery in Mountain View, California. We focus on philodendrons, anthuriums, monsteras, and alocasias.
My grow room stays around 50 to 60 percent humidity and 60 to 80°F, which is pretty close to most Bay Area homes. I share what is working here. No gatekeeping, no mystery, just honest notes to help your plant keep thriving.
You can find us around the Bay at plant events and at The Rooted Market, which I organize here in Mountain View. However we meet, I hope Potter Upper feels like what it is: a small local nursery run by someone who loves these plants and wants you to succeed with them.
Thank you for supporting a small grower.
P.S. When I’m not in the grow room, I’m probably playing Pokémon Go. Want to be friends? I send daily gifts.
